Description

PLEASE NOTE: Fitting a socket upgrade kit is a skilled job which should be undertaken only by a competent synth service engineer or fitted by us at our premises in Tadworth, just outside London.

KADI Port

This Socket upgrade adds a KADI port to the TR-606 enabling the individual sounds of the TR-606 to be played using KADI port output of any Kenton device which is fitted with a KADI port. These devices are:
Pro-KADI MkII
Pro-4
Pro-2000 if fitted with the optional KADI port

All sounds can be played individually, with or without accent which is determined by a pre-set velocity level.
While the KADI port is connected to a KADI device the sounds can only be played from MIDI. When the KADI cable is unplugged (or the KADI device is turned off) the TR-606 will revert to normal operation. See the retrofit kit if you need more control.

The kit contains all necessary components and diagrams for connecting the wires / components, and mounting the 15 pin high density D socket.

Note 1): A KADI cable is not included, as this is supplied with the Pro-KADI or optional KADI add-on port for the Pro-2000 (although not with a Pro-4).

Note 2) This is a KADI Socket upgrade and is not what we call a retrofit. A retrofit kit typically offers a lot more control and features, unfortunately we do not produce a retrofit kit for the TR-606.

Note: Our socket kits are not intended for installation by the end user.
They should always be fitted by an experienced synth engineer.
